FACILTIY RULES AND REGULATIONS

2010 GRPA STATE SWIM MEET

1.      There will be a WELCOME PARTY for all swimmers and family at the East Carrollton Recreation Center Thursday July 29 and Friday July 30 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Restaurants samples, t-shirts, towels and swim supplies will be available.

2.      No chairs or tents in the pool area or on top of the hill.

3.      Swimmers, coaches and officials ONLY will be allowed in the bath house rest rooms

4.      Restrooms for spectators will be located inside the gym, the gym lobby as well as down on the track. We will also have 5 portable toilets on the ball field.

5.      There are 16 sets of bleachers that hold approx. 40 people each on deck for viewing

6.      Please do not use bleachers for permanent seating.

7.      All tents, umbrellas and chairs must be on the track or in the ball field area.

8.      Police officers will be directing traffic. Overflow parking will be at the East Carrollton Recreation Center. Air conditioned transportation to the pool will be provided.

9.      There will be a drop off lane for swimmers and equipment on Lumpkin Drive.

10.  There will be handicapped parking in the upper lot. Please show tag.

11.  Coaches must have their coaches pass to enter the hospitality area.

12.  NO PARENTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BULL PEN OR STARTING AREAS. There will be Police to guard the entrances

13.  All swimmers will report to the bullpen both days for Prelims and Finals.

14.  Top 8 swimmers will report to the bull pen for finals. Alternates must report to the starting area.

15.  Warm-up and cool down will be allowed in the deep end of the competition pool and the smaller pool. Lifeguards will STRICTLY enforce warm up and cool down.

16.  We will have two concession stands. One next to the pool and one in the tent area.

17.  We do have a gym next door that will be open with sound and rest rooms.

18.  There will be an Opening Ceremonies each night for finals. Warm-up will end at 15 minutes prior to the start of finals. All swimmers will line up behind their banner in alphabetical order outside of the bath house.

19.  ALL MEDALS will be given out during the award ceremonies.

20.  Following each final event swimmers will be held in the awards area where they can sit and wait for their awards or cool down in the smaller pool.

21.  The fire department and lifeguards will be available for first aid services.

22.   Verbal abuse, obscene gestures and overall rudeness will not be tolerated and you will be removed from the property.
